Paying it Forward

At The Flour Cake Kitchen we couldn’t do what we do with out the support of our customers. We believe it is only right to pass on that kindness by providing a box or two of our cupcakes to a few local charities to help with their fund raising.

For the rest of 2019 we are supporting Age UK and MacMillan Nurses, however, if you are involved in fundraising and think we may be able to help by providing cupcakes for coffee mornings or cake sales or a cupcake bouquet to raffle then please let us know.

We can’t help everyone but it’s a lovely feeling to know you’ve all helped us to brighten up someone’s day.

Kate’s Fund Raising for the MS Society 28/10/2019

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.

It's a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability. There is currently no cure, so when we heard that Kate was organising a cake sale at work to help raise funds for the MS Society it was time to get our ‘pinnies’ on, get to the kitchen and bake!

With support from her colleagues, who made sure there were cakes galore and back up from The Flour Cake Kitchen, Kate’s work colleagues not only tucked into delicious cakes over coffee but donated generously to this worthwhile cause.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We decided that the Coffee Morning in aid of the fantastic work of the Macmillan Cancer Support charity was something we really wanted to help with.

When we heard that Pavers Shoes based in the Dockside Outlet Centre in Chatham were joining in with the fund raising activities, we knew it was right up our street!

We delivered a variety of freshly made cupcakes as well as a flower cupcake bouquet in order to give their customers a little treat and raise funds for such a worth while cause.

Thanks Pavers for helping us ‘pay it forward’.
